CORONA CURFEW- Day 6 29th March 2020 Agha Inamullah Khan Don’t remember when! Like a heavy cotton quilt in Jan Eyelids buried sockets to soul Like a lazy bloke Bunked prayers at Dawn Pair of sad young doves Sat on half done ventilator to powder room Grating coos & caws Crows agitated Mynas bobbed their heads Squawks and growls Even sparrows shrieked And joined protest On terrace I know, today I was late We rushed upstairs Rabell filled water I emptied bread crumbs plate From the lounge windows Resting our chins on sofa back- amused Enjoyed nature's free show I switched gaze To Oppo Checking overnight Whats app messages And abruptly began crying like a baby for a candy Watching Ayaz's shared hymn on humanity Rabell my daughter began to sob too!
